Links to Those That Are Cruel to Old People and Small Children
MIKE D'ANGELO - The Man Who Viewed Too Much
Mike now writes for Nerve, Las Vegas Weekly and Esquire. Somehow he also finds a way to see upwards of 300 films a year and go to Cannes and what not.
THEO PANAYIDES - Theo's Century of Movies
Theo is just amazing. He compulsively writes capsules for every movie he watches and never seems to run out of insightful things to say. He is also a tremendously charming person to talk to about movies with and you get a sense of that from reading his website.
JEREMY HEILMAN - The Movie Martyr
Jeremy doesn't update his website much anymore (except when TIFF comes around) but perhaps someday he will return and put everyone to shame with his insight.
Back to Main Page
JARED SAPOLIN
Jared used to watch films but now he seems to only be interested in weekly TV shows.  You know what's awesome about TV shows like Felicity and Dawson's Creek?  Nothing at all. (However, The Wire is so amazing that perhaps Jared is onto something with his TV love.)
ZACH RALSTON - Private Joker's Head
Zach doesn't update as much as he used to, but his site is still well worth visiting just to see what films he is loving. Zach is also scary good at poker.
BAAAB's Insanity!
Now "Baaab's Insanity - The College Years" which seems to feature less obsessive movie watching (Down from the 800+ high that was 2003) but fuck it, he has some living to do.
Cinefile Video
Now that I once again live in LA: this is the best video store around and they have pretty much every film that I want to see and also have super-cheap region free dvd players.
Super Happy Fun
The best website for buying rare and obscure films on dvd-r for little money and with accurate quality rating systems.  They have a nice selection of Miike films, as well as OOP dvds (Rabid Dogs) and films that are being held up by distribution problems.
DAN SALLITT
Dan Sallitt puts just about everybody on this list to shame with pure quantity of films seen (as can be easily seen with his rainbow-colored TOP TEN LISTS) he is also -as yet- the only card carrying auteurist allowed to grace this beautiful link page.
EMO BOY
Don't let the name fool you!  This is not a page of whining or free-association confessionals ... um, actually it is not a page of screening logs anymore either. He does still update his music page and maybe this link will encourage him to turn over a new leaf in 2007...
New Beverly Cinema
A damn cool place to see old movies and you get to see them two at a time for very little cost.
Egyptian Theatre
Another damn cool place to see films in LA
.
Dudes
Pigs and Battleships
Ryan writes about films, politics and sports.  Also, he wears a scarf and scarves are awesome.
Blogs
Places (real and not)

Other kick-ass reviewers (that I am too lazy to write proper links for)
KMMBIG (doesn't actually rate movies anymore)
Eric (a blog apparently about De Palma and the gay fetishism of black femininity)
Filmbrain (apparently now loves Asian films only)
Rosenbaum (is sometimes awesome)
Sicinski "Think of the children! Suffer little children! Ah, naptime! Ah, humanity!"
Adam (has room in his heart for Hamaca Paraguaya and Fangoria)

Vadim (Will not listen to albums just because Pitchfork likes them)
Eric Alterman's Altercation (Q: Is Bush mentally unbalanced? A: Holy shit YES!)

Franka has nothing to do with these critics

Film Radar
This site is very helpful when you are trying to figure out what Level 4 films are playing in the Los Angeles area.  Also, there are events where you can meet other film nerds to chat and drink Lattes.  Now all I need is a Music Radar site and I will be able to completely cut the Thursday LA Times from my life.
